I persist that the road from Imbert to Guananico is one of the worst main roads in the dr. (if I recall rightly some dr1ers dont agree....).
Its full of holes, worsens every time it rains. They patch it up once in a blue moon, but it never lasts more than a month.
Anyway today, all the carro publicos got together and went on stike. So no public transport to POP or Imbert. They also sort of ( half) blocked the road.
The govornor of POP came to sort things out and promised a new ( and not half-a$$ed repaired )........ not holding my breathe though.
On a side note, in Balager's last years ( when he was media tostado, blind, dumb and deaf, that is......), he is said, in an appearence at guananico ( used to be a power hub, apparently
), to have said :
Someone in the crowd shouts about the sh!tty road, and he answered something like,
But for god's sake there is like 14 diffrent guananicos then !!!!!!!
Meaning he had paid for umpteen diffrent roads all ready....... about sums it all up.
