hai,

I'v got an internet download speed of 1.0 Mbps, is this sufficient to watch android tv like apple tv?

Sorry it is not:


8-Mbit/s or faster for 1080p high-definition movies and TV shows
6-Mbit/s or faster for 720p content
2.5-Mbit/s or faster for standard-definition content

Probably you could watch SD 480p with a 1.0Mps speed, but 3.0Mps would be better. If you want 720p, then 6Mps+. 1080P 20-40Mps.

Hulu's basic 720p HD iis at 1800 kbps ... youtube has 2000 kbps for HD, so 3 mbps is fine for watching basic HD (720p, H264 codec) online. But 1 mbps will of course not cut it.

I watch Apple TV on Claro and it's normally fine, provided that you don't try to watch at really busy times like over the weekend. I'm not sure if you're interested in TV from the UK, but the BBC iPlayer has a download function which allows you to download anything before you watch it, so absolutely no buffering.

you will have lots of buffering time... i use xbmc to watch tv shows, movies and sports. right now i am running 6 mbps download with 2 mbps upload at 720p i usually dont have any buffering but 1080p i get some depending the day... wanting to upgrade to 10 mbps soon

If you want to watch comfortably, without waiting for the video to load frequently - 5/mbps is probably going to be your minimum.

Even with 5/mbps - depending on certain factors you may have to wait for buffering.
