Everyone seems to need someone to hate and for many Dominicans its Haiti. As for pimps. I have friends who enjoy the company of many of the working girls and they report there is nary a pimp in sight. The girls do not need them. It may be that chulos are being mistaken for pimps. These are the grls boy toys who they dress up and pamper. Even go so far as to be competetive as to who has the cutest chulo.
