PUERTO PLATA Dozens of people of all ages are flocking to Ricardo Limardo public hospital and private clinics in the city of Puerto Plata, with health problems. The most common complaints are muscle ache, high fever, severe headache, and a sharp pain and swelling of the throat.
As indicated by specialists, these are the characteristic symptoms of a virus which is caused by sudden changes in climate, and high temperatures. Doctors recommend to drink plenty of fluids to keep the body well hydrated to avoid exposure to the sun especially from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
It states that these health conditions are due to the millions of Bacteriological particles that permeates this time of year due to the presence in the Caribbean of clouds of dust from the Sahara Desert in Africa, brought here with winds.

Dry - No Rain

Is it a dry heat or is it very humid?

It is unusually dry.
At the moment we have only 60% RH; this is bad news, as it will be another day without the badly needed rain.

I did it, it was me. That dust was here in Africa, and I sneezed Ebola into it, knowing it would head your way. I'm mad 'cause I don't qualify for residency.

donP,

Rain, maybe by the end of next week on the NC. I'm guessing that we won't see anything significant here in the next couple of days. This high pressure is very slow to give way.

Here in LT I think it's either a heat rash or I have been attacked by thousands of ants.
