United States is not listed on the Xoom web site as a country to which you can send money. It appears you can only send FROM the U.S. to other countries. Why not just call their customer service number and ask? Get an accurate answer to your question quick. Or email them. The contact information is prominent on their web site.
To be more precise, there are no options on their web site to send FROM other countries. They seem to assume you send FROM U.S. And their FAQ's do not address the question. Very strange.
Ok. My fascination with all things financial results in a call to Xoom. They say the only option is to send FROM U.S. bank account, credit card, or debit card. It is not possible to send from DR bank account. Took less than two minutes. They have good customer service.
