Lately i heard that if you are legally working in the DR even so for a Foreign company, if they finish your contract they have to provide your housing for 45 days ?
Of course if that is included in your privileges.

There is a misunderstanding here. What the law says is that if an employer provides the worker with housing as part of his contract and fires him, then the employer cannot evict him immediately. The worker must be given time to vacate.

Caribbean George e-mailed asking where in the Labor Code he could find this provision. It's in Article 44, Section 10:

"Desocupar dentro de un t?rmino de 45 d?as, contados desde la fecha en que terminen los efectos del contrato de trabajo, las viviendas que les hayan facilitado los empleadores."
