I have been asked the best way to do this.

Have we got any experience here?
PC2... gorgon.... ideas.??

PLEASE:
No amateurs, no what if's, no why's, no 'don't do it's...

this is a real life question.

Let me start the dialogue
I have shipped in and bought -- call me ambidextrous

I used Benchmark Export in Essington PA (outside Phlia) for my container.

I also considered 'Roll on- Roll Off' from Florida but furniture so a 40ft container did the job - door to door.

At this end it was Hispaniola Freight.

In answer... I would call Hispaniola and Benchmark

I know there are specialists in FL for this...

Can anybody help?

Lots of ideas......and experience too.

From where, type of vehicle (year/model etc.)

Answers depend/need more information.

Its about logistics until it arrives in port.....then the games begin.

We used Cartainer out of northern NJ Welcome to ShippingMyCar.com We had no problems at all with them. We only had a car so we did the RORO, I think it was about $800 for the shipping and a couple of hundred dollars for extra insurance.

We used Jacqueline Sanchez in Santo Domingo to facilitate everything on the DR end, she did it all quickly, professionally and reasonably. As soon as we left the car with Cartainer, we sent her a scan of the paperwork from them, our title, etc., and she started working on it before it even reached DR. PM me if anyone wants her phone #'s.

I have shipped in 3 vehicles with Encargo. No problem, they took care of everything and will arrange it to be delivered to your house in DR.

Can you relate how much that cost for them to do this? What was the price of the car and then how much did it cost you to get it in country and make it legal?

find friend with dealer license send car dr real cheap.

The only advantage a dealer gets is a 20%-30% (depending on the vehicle) reduction in the vehicles value for taxing purposes. They still pay 18% ITBIS and still pay 17% for first placa when it is sold (built into the price the customer pays).

Not sure you would call that "real cheap."
