i have a 1980s heuer watch, that needs service and maybe repair, i do not want to improvise, its an inheritance and also not cheap so im looking for a real professional, if you would take your rolex to the person you know, then thats what im looking for

thanks for any help, can be anywhere on the island

Make sure the jeweler has the proper machine.

Tags are not your everyday watch. They require to be open by a specific machine. Not everyone can change a Tag battery.

its a heuer before it became tag heuer, it doesnt have a battery

Send it back to the OEM - I will cost a lot but it is an item very dear to you.

the OP would be better served by sending it to an authorized Tag dealer. heck, i gave a so called reputable repairman my commercial Kitchen Aid mixer to repair the speed control, which would be a simple case of replacing a resistor. he had it for 3 months, and one day just moseyed on out of town, leaving no forwarding address.

better safe than sorry.
