Life in RD is full of surprises.........
Yesterday, George and I were on our way to Santia go - over the Moca/Tamboril hump (La Cumbre)
On the slippery side going down into the valley.
Georgie can be impatient................
and we were stuck behind a variety of vehicles... rear hatches open on some, trucks full for others,
generally a pain....
and Geo had an appointment in STI.... not a good time to dally.
I was trying to exert my calming influence, unsuccessfully ........
Uh-Oh, says Geo.... we have company atras..........
A Bentley Coupe has slid in behind us.... all black
I open my window to catch the gears - for sure this guy will gear down.......... yup !
He snakes in/out of those cars like nothing -- zigs & zags until he's gone ---POOF!.......GONE!
for the uneducated, these cars are fast......... and have brakes to match
the steering is fingertip soft and accurate (all exotics are like this)
I had only seen one here before -- Samana Highway blasting by me at 150mph+
(I know these things)
OK, my sighting for the year.............. I think
Nooo,
Today in Cabrera , no less, a pristine white Ferrari passes me (Cabrera ???)
Giving me Enzo's signature whine as we passed.......
RD - a developing country...........
full of contradictions........
What a place !!!
