We have been living here for 20 years and still think it was a good decision to settle here.

I loved it and was very surprised that I did. The electricity went out every day for an hour or so each time, so think the folks who don't have solar will have to get inverters. But it really is a very very special place and congrats for making such a good choice. I hope it doesn't change in the future.

We are not connected to the Las Terrenas electricity grid; but I heard that there were short blackouts in the last few days. They say it was due to the connection of the Luz y Fuerza grid to the EDENORTE system.
Subsequently people were complaining, not really knowing whom to blame... :rolleyes:

It will be interesting to see how the Terreneros react once longer 'apagones' happen.

Luz y Fuerza has always rectified any service interruption very quickly.
Will EDENORTE do likewise?
