Two French pilots, arrested in Punta Cana in March 2013 for having 26 suitcases filled with 700 kg of cocaine on the private plane they were in charge of,have been sentenced to 20 years in jail. Also sentenced to 20 years were the French steward and French passenger. There were also four Dominicans sentenced to between five and 10 years in jail. The pilots say they knew nothing about the drugs, the passenger said the cases weren't his, but one of the Dominicans sentenced said he saw one of the cases burst open and the pilots gathered up the drugs and put them back in the case. They do not have to go to jail until their appeal has been heard.

They will NEVER do 20 years!!!!!!!
If they ever do any time, you will read about their early release after a few years.
The "Appeal Judges" will get paid off!

They will NEVER do 20 years!!!!!!!

That is for sure.
As they are now free, they might never appear in court again. :p

The Falcon 50 is a nice booty and will soon be used by a 'functionario'... :bunny:

every year the sukcers do, is a good year for the rest of the globe.
til now they just did the lil 15 months of investigational jail,
not that it would be a piece of nothing, but far not enough for Narco Puzzies.
they are out/free now til the appeal date.
what i could not read anywhere is, Where are they out and free??
for just big accusation, facing maybe 20 years in jail, they only get their passport taken and can freely move around the Isle??
i mean, it isn't very expensive(in comparison what it should be worth for them to avoid 20 years in jail) to arrange a "ride" to somewhere, somewhere south, Latin America where their delivery Frens live in nice luxury.
but then the poor pilot would never see his Kids again, lol.
give those Narcos a life sentence, or shoot 'em on the spot.
sorrily it will be most likely the same outcome as usual:
a appeal judge will celebrate christmas with a BIG smile on his/her face, a new Jeepeta, extended pool and a good amount of retirement money under the bed.

Sound like the narcotraffic business is pretty good these days. Maybe we need to pour more money into the WAR on drugs.

War on Drugs and Drug Trafficking are under the line one and the same "Project",
the guys producing all those technologies and weapons etc for the senseless Wars, urgently need the Narcos to continue biz,
or those big industries would need to look quickly for some other "reasons" to run a War.
those weapons need to be used and replaced and new ones sold, or some big nations would end up in bancruptcy soon.

Their best bet would be a ride to France. France does not extradite it's citizens with the exception of intra-EU, they might get a trial there (and maybe not at all) and see their family every day. And the maximum they would get in France could be 10...

They do not want to meet their business partners as they now owe them the cost of the drugs.

lol
on the other hand,
i would assume that the french passenger been the Buyer and observed the save transport of his merchandise.
so the stuff may already have been paid.
on a deal "payment on delivery" no french boss would have been involved.

I think we've been there and done that several times on a worldwide basis, including the Dominican Republic where the Interpol and American DEA drug forces have sizeable contingents. It doesn't work except to sell newspapers and generate political campaign donations. The business has been very good ever since drugs were criminalized after World War One.

Drugs are a good business
'cause the world is full of junkies demanding the stuff.
the products would not be worth to be shipped anywhere, if there wouldn't be such huge demand for them in the first world.
look on the icredible costs per criminal in prison.
should their actions be legalized to save on that money?

but it goes off topic, there are other topics where it is discussed.

as for the French Pilots and their companions/Boo's,
let 'em rott in jail and never see their children again.
how someone with own children can produce, transport, sell or use hard drugs, is beyond anything.
