Can anyone tell me the dress code for naturalization ceremonies? Suit and tie? What about jeans?

Jeans are for working in the yard or making a dump run. Docker slacks, button down collar shirt & sports jacket. And do not wear tennis shoes.

That's what I thought, thanks. Just wasn't sure if it's necessary to wear a tie.

Many of the government buildings in the DR will not let you in unless you are wearing pants, shoes and a decent shirt. I think women even have to have something that covers their shoulders (no bare shoulders). Think of at least what you would wear to a business meeting... and a suit would probably be good at a ceremony.

I went to one about 12 years ago. I wore slacks, a nice knit shirt and shoes of course. A lot of men wore suits and ties, but no one had jeans on or were sloppily dressed.
