Hi everyone, I am looking to move around January and would like to know the best areas to live in Santiago and La Vega. Looking for a safe neighborhood with good electric service. I also would like primary school recommendations. Thanks in advance.

Start reading this sticky on the site.

It mentions two schools:

Santiago Christian School

Colegio New Horizons

You could start with those two in Santiago. Visit the schools and to make your life easier, choose where to live in the neighbourhoods near the schools.

In La Vega city, have not heard of bilingual schools.

In Jarabacoa, t here is:

Jarabacoa Christian School

Doulos Discovery School
http://doulosdiscovery.org

Both are Christian-oriented.

Of these, only New Horizon does not have a religious slant.
