Given the history of the place and the location, that would normally be a fair price, but he'll be lucky to get half that nowadays, which I don't think he'll take.

Yes, the ad is for the business, land and shops. I believe Miro's next door has been for sale for at least eight years, but I forget what she was asking. Maybe he should try selling the leasehold(?) instead and keep the land in his name.

The prob with being a hands on owner is you are a big part of the business's actual value. See also, Eddy's in Sosua.. Now who has the kind of cash for a beach bar nowadays?

Easy to buy hard to sell unless its a giveaway. Five years would be lightening fast. Why the sale? Biz is that slow?

Be a long time before we see how it goes in Cuba. Might even be sold by then. Cuba is changing but its very very slow. We do not want to give anyone the idea that communism does not work so we cannot just turn it over in a week.

Where's your page and a half post telling us all about the sale Frank?

It's not my business. I'm not selling it. In fact, i just got back in town from Norway.

But i will be working there during this football season.

Frank

When business owners here sell with "Owner Financing", they sometimes hope the new owner will fail, not make the payments, other than the down payment, which they get to keep, and then they get the business back, and sell it again, and again.
"Field Of Dreams" is a prime example!
"Casinos" are yet another!
