If you want TV channels in English, look into a method that lets you stream the channels you want over the Internet.

Which providers offer HD content - Claro, Wind, Sky etc? As of a few years ago, Sky was the only one I was aware of.

I have cable with DeLancer and I get all the major american channels with the basic plan. If I want HD, it would cost me 100 pesos more per month.

We have Sky HD and it is very good. Not all channels are HD however - they have around 10 channels in HD.
I prefer Sky instead of Claro. We tried Claro and we do like Sky better - much better. Many Sky channels you
can select if you want English or Spanish.

Does anyone use Viva for TV? Comments, recommendations??

We had SKY for 18 months, cancelled and returned the box in May. Thinking about Viva because they have a prepaid TV with no contract - anyone try it???

What is the cost of basic internet through Claro? That seems to be the main provider for places with WIFI. Are there line of sight towers you can use with a receiver?

I for one love my Dish

Neither are available in our south coast campo. :( I have a choice of SKY, Claro dish, Viva or Wind for TV. We had SKY but no ABC/NBC/CBS, all the programs in English [AXN etc.] are old reruns, and we have to pay for it for 7-8 months when no one there. That's why we thought we'd try Viva prepago.

$20/month I can do. $RD2000 sounds like way more than I need. I just need to access HULU, Amazon and Netflix.
