Hi all,
I have been given differing information regarding the importing of my personal possessions.

How detailed does the inventory of goods have to be?

Thanks
Roy

Just a listing of the contents of each box within the container. I suggest you number your boxes 1 to XXX. Use one page of a notebook for each numbered box. This makes it easy to find stuff that they want to look at without having to destroy every box searching for the item. About half of my boxes were rifled through.

Women's shoes is fine - 6 pairs red women's shoes is not necessary.
Kitchen cutlery is fine - 8 butter knives, 8 forks, 6 spoons is not necessary.
Children's clothing is fine - 12 t-shirts, 6 pair of pants, 4 caps with propellers is not necessary.
1 x living room picture is fine - 1 x Rembrandt lifted from the Louvre is unnecessary.
etc.

Cdn very good and accurate advice. That is exactly how we did it. Yes and inventory is necessary.

Thanks both, that's pretty much how it was all packed when we left the UK (it's in storage).

Cheers

and , Yes, they use that list for verification purposes - so you need to procure what they ask for

Like a spot check.

Where is the office chair ? Donde es.....

I recall it vividly because I was sloppy at that part....
