Remembrance Day poppies are available in Sosua again this year. They can be obtained from Fraggle Rock bar in Calle Dr Rosen/Calle Sin Salida (the road down to Playa Alicia and the Waterfront Restaurant) and from Bill at his stall at The Jolly Roger Saturday Market in Calle Pedro Clisante.
You receive a poppy in return for a donation to the British Legion. Wearing the poppy marks remembrance of members of the armed forces who have died on our behalf in various wars, and your donation supports the Legion's work in helping current and former members of the forces and their families who are in need. Last year our local appeal raised ?256 and it would be good to at least match that amount again this year. All donations are welcome but please give as generously as you can.
