for those who rue their music situation in RD, there are few options.

I have SIRIUS/XM on my TV package (DISH) and in my car.

I have no ability to stream... poor Internet.

A solution...........
when off island I buy a subscription to Spotify ($8./mo) and download my choices.
Then, I can select 'Play OffLine'.........

Voila, all my music stored on the computer for less than buying albums/songs.

Couple the computer with a JamBox and you are totally mobile..... even in the car, if you carry it with you.

Excuse me - I hear Diana Krall calling me............... siren song:cool:

Thank you!! Every evening we dine on our patio and have tried so many different devices and ways to listen to music. In fact, my wife is at her introductory banjo lesson as we speak. We will try Spotify. I'll give her a two minute window to perform "Dueling Banjos" for her efforts, then Spotify.

not sure if you can download it here - I did it in the US.

Pandora is good when in the USA..... but can't go outside the borders.

Spotify is worldwide.... my UK daughter started me.

We'll be in the states for Thanksgiving. If Spotify has 70s rock and R&B, you have made my day!!

I use TuneIn when I am in the car. It works outside the US, countless radio stations globally and you can stream in the house.

I have used some of what you have all mentioned. Another one is if you have a favorite radio station from back home they may have an app and you can listen live. I downloaded a local station from western canada on an android app and it works great so long as you have an internet connection

I use a SONOS box, I can download music from Spotify, iTunes etc and also stream radio stations with very little bandwidth.

Worth the money IMHO.

And if you are patient you can have Youtube calculate you a playlist based on previous video selections

They live in Vancouver.... as I recall

I love her

Me too. I loved him back in the day too. I haven't heard too much from him lately, but remember back in the late 70s early 80s when he was releasing awesome albums every year.
