Processed food products do not generally pose a problem at customs as long as the agents can identify what the product is. Sometimes products in non transparent packaging that don't x-ray well (especially when there are multiple units), a representative sampling is opened to ensure that what's on the label is in the cans/packages/tubes etc.

The cost of shipping can be expensive based on weight. Stay away from items that can melt in the heat for obvious reasons.
