Aloha Surf Cafe in Cabarete closed

I found out yesterday and confirmed today that the Aloha Surf Cafe in Cabarete is closed. It is sad. That location is a great place to host live music and the man who ran the Aloha did so as often as he could.

Hopefully the location will be leased to another person who also appreciates live music. The location is along side the Ocean One complex near the end of the access road to Ocean One from the main highway.

No, he did not just get tired. True that the place is in an area where you have to know where it is already to find it. Sales and Marketing, sales and marketing...

Your right. It had very little, if any marketing. It was a great place, but many people didn't know it was there.

I was just there. Horst, the owner of the bar, said he will almost certainly be able to rent it out again.

Juan Carlos ran the Aloha Surf Cafe. Horst is the owner of the location and about half of that block leading up to the bar. If and when it re-opens, it is likely to have a different name.
