Purchased a new pool pump and was told to get a 230V. After the guy
connected it we discovered the next day the power input was 110V.
Purchased a transformer to convert 110V to 230V. It ran for 1 month
and yesterday I discovered the transformer is not working, simply
does not power on.

So I need an electrician to check it out. Perhaps the input voltage
is bad. I'll check the breaker this morning.

Have you looked on the data plate on the pump motor? Usually, the voltages are both "high and low" which with single phase means 115/230V and all that is necessary for changing from one voltage to another is switching a couple of wires on the motor itself..
