any body worried that the Japanese are going to teach the Dominicans about industrial size fishing . If the International community had let the Japanese, there would not be a whale left to look at in Samana.
These people have not understood the concept of over fishing.
Now they come here to teach
Soon there will not be a fish left within a 200 miles zone around the island.

Something is fishy!

Hmmmm.. Lets see...
Last month the DR institutes a law requiring all sport fisherman to pay a tax for all fish landed.... Now that Moya Pons Jerk invites the Japanese to rape the local waters....Could it be? Corruption in the DR? A gov official selling out his country? Nah!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, this is a blessing in disguise: If the Japanese and their Dominican students pay the per fish tax as decreed by law, and knowing the Japanese propensity for capturing damn near every fish within 100 miles of one of their long-range trawlers, theoretically they will pay the DR government enough fish tax to repay the $500 million dollar bond issue in about three months. Now, how the politicians will split this up as to whose pockets it goes into is another matter.
