if new bring the receipt. if you don't they charge a lot. I brought a 32 inch in my luggage and ipaid 230.00 new. they hit me for about another 150.00 in Puerto plata I sat in the office for 1 hour only be told to return the next day. We argued and argued but we lost.i have no idea the value they set.

I brought at least 10 in here. One time they found it and I said it was a computer monitor. There was no box, just the set. I paid nothing.

There is no way to know. Every time you do it, your results could be different.

yes I have been here a long time. its different everytime. I ship a lot owning businesses here, it always interesting. I fly from Santiago now. I got mad at the thieves in Puerto plata. Not much problem in Santiago. Sometimes they scan sometimes they got the person in front of you

make sure if you say its used take off all .I mean all the clear wrap. that's how they insisted mine was new.

If that is what we actually paid, I would bring down a 60 inch or so. Problem is that they determine the value sometimes. Receipts may work, or may not.

yes but without one they for sure do not work. :classic:

Our mundanza charges $8 per inch for a TV, door to door including aduana. This is out of NY/nJ, Florida would be cheaper.

It's not cheap, but if you're a regular customer like we are they may do it for less.

As AlterEgo pointed out, many Mudanzas charge by the inch and not the price. A receipt for one on sale does not help reduce the price nor does the latest and greatest smart TV increase the price.

TV's up to 32 inches are being imported by air by Encargopaq. You pay only for this shipping. I see them all the time at the local Encargopaq office being purchased by people on the north coast.

Cheaper TVs from 32 inches and up are probably best purchased from a good vendor here. Keep in mind you will be getting off brands like AOC if you shop by their still ridiculous price

If you want the latest and greatest large TV, at $8 per inch it is probably cheaper to import it.

the receipts is needed if you bring a new TV your luggage on plane and they catch it. Try it without one and see what they charge you. Mudanzas are different. Even with them its tricky shipping certain items.
