There is a similar thread posted but my question is whether or not it's possible to travel from anywhere in the DR to Miami via a cruise ship? I don't like flying so was wondering if there was another option available.

If cruising options aren't enuff from here there is a ferry that goes to Puerto Rico for just over $100.00. ANd maybe more cruising options there.

Miami is not in Puerto Rico. How does one get to Miami from PR? Fly?

I don't think there were any cruises at all at the moment where you could start in the DR. There is talk of starting some cruises that allow boarding in the DR.

Not sure if possible here but in Europe one can book a cabin on some freight ships too. And there are for sure far more freighters going back and forth to Miami than cruise ships...

freighters suck plus cost way more than flying

I hear you can crewboat on some boats. there is a website to sign up for trips but you have to work

i guess you could take a ferry to PR and board a cruise from there. of course you are adding travel time and costs but it is doable.
