Yesterday, me, a crazy Norwegian, and pilots Rex Beesley and his son Alex, flew from the North Coast to the South Coast. It only took 1:15 and involved climbing to 10,000ft and flying past Pico Duarte, which was absolutely amazing. If you have never done this trip before, i would highly recommend that you contact Rex and beg, borrow, and steal in order to get to experience this once in your lifetime. There are mountains upon mountains rolling in-between the two coasts and they go for as far as the eye can see.

What a wonderful trip, thanks for sharing another adventure. Even with cloud cover the island is beautiful. When I see aerials like this I always am mystified how conquistadors could have ever hiked the island in their heavy armor.

Gotta love that little Cessna. Four fat boys, full fuel, bags and cameras etc and she climbed to 10,500 feet!

And chasing the cows off the runway at Cabo Rojo - priceless!~
