I couldn't find the sticky so mods, please put this in correct place.

I renewed for the 4th time yesterday and wanted to give you my process. Took the 3:30 bus from Caribe Tours (location) in Charamicos. 350 pesos.

Arrived a bit late at immigration because of traffic - 8:30. Got the paper to fill out and a number. All my paperwork was in order so the process was just following along. Complete after paying 7000 pesos and out of there at 9:45.

Off to cedula, pretty empty, had taxi wait for us and caught the 11:30 Caribe Tours bus (to Vega bypassing Santiago) and was back in Sosua before 4 pm.

Taxi from bus to immigration: 200 pesos
Taxi to cedula and wait and then to Caribe Tours: 500 pesos

When your paperwork is in order, the process becomes easy to follow. What was the paperwork?

1) Passport, residency
2) Guarantor
3) Police report
4) Letter from bank showing solvency and movement for previous 6 months
5) Title(s)
6) 2 photos

Oh cedula cost: 3000 pesos and they take credit cards here (which I've used in the past with no issues)

Of course, I have someone who takes me there from Sosua, helps with the language, knows the process, and is a big de-stressor,

By the time we left immigration, there wasn't an empty seat in the place.

Any specific questions, don't hesitate to ask me.
