I dropped a computer tablet and broke it. I'm not too interested in shipping it to the USA to be repaired so will buy a replacement.

This will be a purchase that exceeds the $200 tax free limit. Is there anyway to minimize the aduanas hit? I don't know anyone coming to the DR anytime soon and because I use this equip. everyday, I want to order the replacement soon.

Anyone know of a way to determine how much tax will be levied on a shipment before it arrives and is processed by customs like a website where you enter the item category and value?
