Default french company to operate aerodom airports

    http://hoy.com.do/gigante-aeroportua...ertos-aerodom/

french company, vinci airports will overtake the administration of aerodom airports in DR: Los aeropuertos que maneja Aerodom son el Internacional de las Américas, en Santo Domingo; Presidente Dr. Joaquín Balaguer, Santo Domingo Norte; Gregorio Luperón, Puerto Plata; María Montez, Barahona, y Presidente Juan Bosch y Arroyo Barril, en Samaná.

i wonder if it's gonna bring some changes to gregorio luperon airport specifically. people often complain of high taxes and limited flights. it would be great to see more action in POP.

Are the taxes set by the government or the management company?

People and companies can not impose taxes, that by definition is by the government. The management company may be able to impose fees on its own, but in many countries fees for quasi-public services such as airport fees must be approved by the government.

Airport operators do impose fees on passengers for extra security measures and of course when you leave the airport by taxi and also for car parking ..the most notorious is macquarie airports a listed australian company that has the management of many airports around the world .

I hope they will build normal airport website where you can see all departures/arrivals/delays/cancellations in real time.
