doctor mejia was well known among the locals and expats alike. he owned and run clinica brugal for many years. he was smart, funny, always positive and optimistic. in the last months his health deteriorated and he died last night.
rest in peace.

I met him when I was very ill from gangrene caused by the accident that damaged my leg so badly. He immediately knew what was wrong and took steps to get me proper care.

He was a great doctor and he, and the orthopedist who cleaned the wound, are responsible for the fact that I walk with two legs today.

Que descansa en paz.
