Can there be a form that new members have to fill out, or something, so they don't just come on and say, "hi?"

I don't mean to be a mean-spirited, tired old b*tch (although it is what I am), but I am TIRED of all of the one-line "hi" msgs. Can they please have to say what their connection to the DR is, how they found DR-1, what they are most interested in knowing?

It goes against my nature to be kind, and before I send my standard welcome of keeping a gimlet eye and a thick skin, DR-1 is a great resource, I am over the "hello, here I am" msgs.

Yes. I can ignore them. I know that. And since there seems to be an up-tick of the one-word joiners, I am doing it more and more. I want to be welcoming and helpful, but it's a two-way street.

Sorry. End of rant.

Hmmmmmmm

I would think Robert would be the one to approve that. Sounds good. :)

We like to make joining as simple as possible.

If people want to introduce themselves, we have a forum for that.

Thanks.
