Can I get some insight from others who have signed rental contracts or who own properties and provide rental contracts. When the landlord's lawyer provides us with a contract who signs it? Lawyer and tenants? Lawyer, owner, and tenants? Owner and tenants? Does it need to be signed in front of a notary?

Last year I signed a rental contract prepared by my landlord's lawyer. Only the landlord and myself signed the contract. The lawyer only prepared it and the landlord paid for it (1000 pesos)...

No problem ever with it.

Have your own lawyer check it out - include inventory - get it notarised.

You may be lucky (like charlise) but why take the risk?

Did you use this contract to have the electricity and water bill put in your name?

I agree, I want it notarised. I was thinking that in order to have the electricity and water put in my name the companies would require a notarised ckntract. Otherwise anyone could bring in a contract that has signatures.
