I am looking for a apartment or studio to stay at for a few nights to start my vacation in October. Any suggestions on where I can look or if anyone here know someone that has one available. Would like one that has a kitchen to cook my own meals.

As Windeguy says, where in the DR are you wanting to stay? There are thousands of vacation rentals in the country, but without having an idea of where you want to stay, it's hard to help.
