Allegedly, there was a recent police action to remove an unwanted business just down the side street running by Janet's Supermarket on the way to the ocean.
Those in said business may have relocated to Sosua. Can anyone confirm this?

Oh no !!!

My favorite place.... a little bar on the right hand side.... for sure.

Excellent companions - one dressed my cut one day.....blood everywjhere.

And the most beautiful Haitian girl.... strident, but great..
wow , she was strident........

Windy,
Are you talking about the Cabarete Chapter of whore mongers???
As you keep on mentioning the governments desire seems to be clear.
It'll be safer this way for the kite surfers and condo owners.

William,
I am somewhat shocked.
I thought that you were above having your cuts anointed. Having a cut rubbed with a healing oil or unguent can be calming however.
For your sake I hope this is just a vicious rumour.

was it a brothel? can you just call spade a spade?

This poignant question needs to be answered by our nomadic Cabarete musician, if he is not touring and making the ladies swoon.

If true, it is just another skirmish in the War on Whores, as I have been told.

The location supposedly had a name related to a fish, which is somewhat amusing.

Only females in attendance whenever I passed by -
literally, never saw another male.

My naive friend introduced me to it,
saying the place was always full of girls.

I guess so !!

Haha...yeah, apparently Elvis has left the building...temporarily (although the bar is still open). But like any good Elvis---they never die. He's only gone down the street for a short break. He'll be back for his encore and second act shortly. You can count on that. No one goes away for very long..especially not a Dominican that lives here.

The Sausage Effect - squeezed to Sosua

With prohibitions, there is the sausage effect of "squeezing on one spot where the "problem is" and forcing it to another". I do not think that what the police considered to be a problem will be retuning to that exact location, but it could. .

In this case it was squeezed "down the street" to Playa Laguna.

Passed by? There is not much reason to pass by the now former location of this brothel down the side street by Janets.
Where else would one be going after one passes?

There is a very zippy restaurant at the end of the street
and you pass by the location to get to Valero...

that and Papi's is about all know ( or care to know) about Cabarete

The left turn to get to Velero's parking lot is before Janet's parking lot which would men it is before anything else on that street.

I did know there was a restaurant further down the road and I had already guessed that might be your destination. ;)

For those who wish to find this business, they will now have to head to Sosua.

No, no, no, no, no...listen to William Webster. He knows what he is talking about. People get lost. People get disoriented. Men hate to stop and ask for directions...that's a sociological-anthropological fact--with roots going all the way back to the cave man era. I know William; the man is a connoisseur of All-you-can-eat buffet's. I've seen it with my own two eyes. He has excellent taste in food. And many people have made an accidental turn down this side street to Elvis' looking for the All-you-can-eat-buffet. I've seen it. It's a good deal! And I'm sorry, in this economy we have going on right now, a man has to eat whatever is put in front of him...including raw fish.

Ain't that right William?
