Anyone know about reciprocity of level of education between the DR and the US? For instance, is a 7th grader in the US learning the same level of education as a 7th grader in the DR?

The better private bilingual/international schools are US accredited and use the same textbooks.

Is a 7th grader in Tennessee learning the same as a 7th grader in St Louis MO?

It all depends on the situation. If you are looking for a school in DR that is US accredited try
www.sacs.org These will be very expensive.
You can also look for a school that has a US curriculum. It may not be accredited but they follow
the same curriculum and may very well be validated once back in the US.
I studied in the DR for a couple of years JHS/HS and most of my classes were validated except for
religion and Latin American history. I had to take American History and couple of others that I cannot remember.
It's been a long while...
