you did not look hard enough.
jose luis has big ass pots of mott's applesauce. about 180 pesos. you will find them sort of between health food and marmalade/jam/preserve section.
la sirena also has it, small pots. somewhere in one of the condiments sections. maybe next to the chinese stuff like duck sauce and so on?

Growing up we always ate Applesauce with pork or potato pancakes (which my Polish mom and grandmother made from scratch)
Dam ...... they were good. I have many times found it here everywhere I have lived and my son usually has it in his place in S.D.

i've never used it. bought a pot about 2 or 3 weeks ago with the intention of using it in baking but did not really find a recipe that would catch my attention.

Just substitute same amount of oil for same amount of apple sauce in any cake recipe. *

currently watching my calories tho so looking to cut oil/butter. will not work in the recipe above but looks interesting, will try next week.

also, the basic vegan cake can be improved with some nice frosting or ganache.

also: NICE TO SEE YOU BACK, GODDAMMIT.

bite the bullet, and make it just once. after you do, then you can eat radishes and turnips for a month. it will have been worth it. make it just as the recipe says, and do not make any healthy substitutions...

thanks for the welcome...
