Even surprising as "thieves" managed to climb the bell tower of the church of San Antonio, to steal the bell because it has a considerable height.

yes hard to believe, know the church well. not sure how they stole it , church is locked most of the time, and priests are present most of the time. Me think there is more to the story

*there is a small islet off the POP malecon, with a gigantic statue on it. thieves stole that statue one night!!. if you saw the operation that was undertaken to replace it, including helicopters, you would understand that thieves are special people

I live a few blocks away from this church. There is always a security guard
on this block at night. Sad but not surprising
