As the season approaches, I plan my charcoal purchase for the year.

An old Haitian makes it here... money for him at Navidad.
I asked this week but he said he hadn't the fuerza *anymore.

I offered my men to help him.....

He started today. Not sure yet how many sacos we'll have, but a few .

If anybody wants I'll do deliveries whenever possible.

Price and timing to be determined.

Let me know if interested.

I knew I had read something about charcoal recently and the illegal manufacture........

There are restrictions it would appear and obviously you are not in the production business for the product.

The government has been very vocal about this recently, in their attempts to address the impact of deforestation and other environmental concerns. It is a major part of President Medina's domestic policy, and the authorities will/and have been cracking down on this activity/business. Trucks and product have begun to be confiscated. Not a smart business for a Dominican, Haitian, or any expat to be involved in. Be careful.

We're just cleaning up the downed trees on the property, not starting a business but thank you for the advice.
