I need to have photos taken of me for my permanent residency application. Does anyone know where I can go in Puerto Plata?

ted jimenez studio, calle j f kennedy, on the corner of a small park. telephone 809 586 2409. the cost is 500 pesos, you will need front and right side. no glasses, no jewelry, long sleeves. ask for copies as well as the digital version, they can email it to you (you will need it to upload it in DGM system).

when you wait for your photos take a look at a small museum with various cameras and other equipment. cool stuff.

They did mine once outside the Migration office in SDQ.

I went across the street and sat in a cardboard box.
They did the photos, went somewhere to print them and I done.

Back to my application, finished and went home.

Many things here are simple.
Don't overthink it*

now you need to upload the photos to the system BEFORE going to SD.

Thanks. I got them but I guess I have to scan them in to email them to my attorney so they can be uploaded. I left my email with the studio and thought they would email them to me but nothing so far.

dang, i'm sorry. they sent us email straight away, before we were handed the prints.
my advice would be to forget scanning, too much work. just take a photo of a photo with your phone and send it via whatsap (or email). easy peasy.

If you have a smart phone, just use Google Photo Scan to get the physical photos onto your phone in a digital format.

You can then attach the files from your phone into an email. That's it!

great! let us know how did the process go for you.

my little word of advice is to have some change with you in DGM. it's a long wait and they have nescafe machine there in case you need a coffee not to pass out from boredom. they also have water cooler (free).
