Like any statistic to have meaning it would need to be compared to developed nations such as U.S., Japan, Germany and Norway (Frank would know) and then against say Cuba, Chile, Ecuador.
Then it's meaning can be better evaluated.

That's quite astounding that the author managed to accurately divide equally a percentage down to one decimal place. *Definitely has no place in politics!

you are right. maybe the figures were prepared by the department of statistics in a different country...

Nothing astounding about it; depending on the sample size, the statistician in question may be rounding up to 1 decimal place.

actually, i am just looking at the part where he said 59.6% were women, then he was at pains to say that the remaining 40.4% were men. i mean, we did not think they were oxen.
