I bought online 7 sort of large things that I want all together in one huge box, will customs except a receipt that details the price or invoice that shows each different price without being challenged and charged as one whole crate? Do I need to ship each item separately to go around this problem?

If you can get it to a mudanza in NYC or FLA, they'll box them and ship it to you with no hassle/taxes.

Allows you to avoid the aduana

The $200 allowance is per day, so separate packages are added up.

WW is right, a mundanza is the better way to go.

First I have heard that it is $200 per day. I had been under the impression it is $200 per shipment. Putting a number of expensive items in one box almost guarantees tax will be paid on that shipment unless you use a Mudanza.

At least one person has posted that they received several packages on one day, and had to pay. It was recommended that shipments be staggered for that reason.
