Urgent need for donations of type 0 negative blood for Douri Javier who is at Centro Medico Cabarete.  Donors can go directly to the clinic to donate on his behalf.


Douri Javier is 21 years old. He has a wife and newborn baby.  He was leaving work yesterday as a chef in a restaurant in Cabarete.   He was in an accident with a car and has lost a lot of blood.  He is currently in Centro Medico Cabarete and needs 3 pints of blood.   Donors can go to Centro Medico Cabarete.

Type O negative is not easy to find. You might have to buy it. Red Cross in Pto. P. has a list of "donors" who will sell their blood - about 4000 pesos/pint. There's also some kind of blood bank in Santiago where you can buy it, too.

Update:
Douri Javier de la Cruz was operated on this afternoon.  Four people qualified as donors.   He is sitting up and recovering but obviously in pain.   Thankful for those who offered a helping hand!
