Is film more expensive in Santo Domingo?

I buy 4 packs of Kodak 400 spd. for about $10, anyone have an idea what a 4-pack costs in/around S.D.?

    Thanks.

Dont know the price but I'll offer one suggestions. Make sure your used and unused film is in a lead lined foil bag available at most camera shops.
Since 911 security x-ray machines have been turned up and can now do damage to the film. When we returned I had used only 1 standard 35mm film, and had 4 others unused and they are all ruined. Good thing I used a digital for my pic's.

    Thumbs up Haven't seen it.

I have yet to see it actually do any damage at all.

I've been traveling extensively (recently) with flim in my carry-on and I haven't seen any degradation whatsoever. From ISO 100 to 3200, nothing.

I'm sure it's possible, but I'd bet it would have more to do with temp. change than anything else.

In the past I've just asked to hand it over to the checker and have them inspect the canisters by hand. Not always easy, i had to be very persistent.
