I had occasion to be hunting for a small system ... to avoid luz lockouts.

I hated the idea of the installation the permanency of same.

Lo & behold, I ran across the Briggs & Stratton P3000.

It's built for construction sites, an all-in-one generator with 8 plugs.
And it runs quieter - built for 'close contact'

Not cheap but compared to buying the pieces and hooking everything up - plus, for me , the portability... I took it.
$1200 + $35 to ship it to Awilda ... it weighs 95lbs and isn't too large... waiting on the shipping price.

Runs 2600W ...

Menard's is where I found it but I didn't source it.
It may be cheaper in some place.... I was in a hurry.

This one suited my needs but there other makes/models with different outputs.

A good item for RD ---- IMO

Cross your fingers Windy -
it arrives at Awilda tomorrow.

I just want it for a laundry room... Washer, Propane dryer and ironing (1350W iron, a big one)

If you buy a step up transformer it will run your 220v well pump also...

Or burn out the output section of the generator. Be very, very careful of the start up current of your well pump. It might greatly exceed the capacity of a small generator like this one.

When my house was built 30 years ago, they installed a large GE pump for the cistern. It draws a very large amount of start up current. I found this out by hooking up a 2.6 Kw Yamaha gasoline generator to it. Results were very unpleasant.

I would be careful using that iron. If the refrigerator compressor kicks on while that iron is being used, it almost certainly will at least trip a breaker on the unit to protect it.

How much was shipping door to door, and the total all-in price?

Whenever I have moved a large item like my 3 door refrigerator, diesel generator , or a TV, I have always gotten a firm fixed door to door price from the moving company before I place the order. You like to live close to the edge...

I used Awilda in 2014 to bring in a large Whirlpool refrigerator from HH Gregg. They charged $450 US. Saved about $350 US over buying it here.

Another time I brought in a generator and Encargopaq got the nod because their quote was more than $100 US less.

Neither seems to be that good about getting around the TV mafia in this country when you want to use them to import a large screen TV.

Awilda's price for new vs used fridges tells the tale.... less for used.
Mine are often 'scratch 'n dent' and come in as used.
I forget the pricing.... but it wasn't $450

I have a load here... big shipment.

I am a regular shipper - every October and often in the summer.

If he quotes me too high... I return the product , no charge return.
After a while, he knows his customers.
Me?.....2008/9.

Never missing items, nothing broken

I tried another once - they broke everything - chairs, figurines... disaster
Went back to my boys.

Hey, buy two with a parallel connection port and you can run your inverter AC. I wonder how long a tank of gas will last?

I am guessing more like 3 or 4 hours on a gallon of gasoline. Let me know.
