Hope it simply needs freon added. Repair guy must have a ladder to reach roof on a 2 story house.

Need Home AC serviced in POP
I forget the name of the place but we used the one on the main highway in a center next to the western union. When you pass that roundabout and are going towards Playa Dorado it is on your left. It is a pretty big AC store. They came out and added freon to our unit on the second floor. I forget the cost but is wasn't too much.
At the time we were renting a house and our 12000 BTU was too small for that room. They told us we needed a 18000 or 24000 btu. We have a TGM unit.
Refripartes is the location next to the Western Union.

Keep in mind that if your coolant is low and needs to be topped up, there is a leak somewhere in the system. Coolant is not supposed to be a consumable. Sure you can top it up but the problem will return when the new coolant leaks out.

R-410 isn't all that helpful for the ozone layer either. Just wanted to point out that a top up is only a temporary fix and at some point you'll need to either fix the leak permanently or replace the AC in case you didn't know.

excellent observations. the usual way to fix things in the DR is to deal with the symptoms, not the cause. so, since freon is low, they top it up, but do not try to find out why it is low. next week, they will be topping it up again, at your expense.
