i haven't been to the DR in a few years. what's the hotel situation like now ? i use to be a regular at terra linda. i have a few friends looking to take the plunge labor day weekend.

what's a good hotel for some first timers ? i was wondering if there are the same choices as a few years ago. entiende ???

Just in the capital or are you open to visiting the rest of the country?
Try Rocky's in Sosua if looking for what the North Coast is about. Or if into kite surfing get over to Cabarete and hit the Extreme Hotel whose prices are not that extreme and you can add a bit of Zen meditation to it. They even have an aquaponics garden and you can have fresh fresh fish for dinner.

As you know the DR is a big country?  What part of the country?  What city? What price range?
