I urgently need a good dental office to handle massive impant work. I had excellent Bridgework done in Europe, but my daughter knocked it all out when I tried to kiss her on top of the head and she jumped up the same moment. I need a place that can do x rays on location, that way I do not have to drive all over town for each step.
I you have an idea of a price, that would be the icing on the cake.

Thank you.

You are in luck. Dental work in the DR has a good reputation. There should be dozens of practices in SDO.

Dental Cibao in Santiago. Their office is located close to Metro and Caribe bus stations.
if you want the highest quality. Downstairs is tomography office. A good number of expats on this site have used them. Equal to or better than you will find in the US.

Best I know for many years

He is a real specialist.

Look for Karl Gustav Wiese, he is in independencia and specialized in that, I have friends coming from Germany and the US just getting their work done with him. I think he is under Gabriel Socias under Google maps, which is his grandfather.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that it needs to be in Santo Domingo.

Just checked the cost of implants at a well established dental clinic in Luperon. The lead dental surgeon is Gigi, a very well qualified lady and there are other surgeons on staff as well. The cost is $1000US per implant. She will screen you for heart problems and diabetes. Your upper and lower jaw bone density has to be good, otherwise you will incur extra cost to rebuild the bone mass or use skin grafts for the interior of your mouth. She has a fully furnished apartment in Luperon for her clients. After the implants are done, you will wait six months for the implants to graft to your jaw bones. The second appointment is for the placement of the teeth on the implant. A follow up appointment six months later to check everything and your good to go.

Speaking from LOTS of experience. I would only go with known and highly reviewed clinics and dentists when it comes to dental work in the DR.

Isn't $1000. an implant close to U.S. prices? I thought my dentist in the U.S. quoted me $1000. a couple years ago.

Don't know about US prices but my friend was quoted $20,000 to have the work done in Canada. Can get everything done in Luperon for $5200 Canadian. One quarter the cost and he comes down here to scuba dive in the winter anyway.

My Cdn friend did it here ...1/3 the cost

Lots of places... just get it right.... important decision.

Friend didn't go to Cibao.... had a 're-fit' .... not great results
I tried but stubbornness reigns

That's a come on for a straight implant with no complications WW. If surgery is required to rebuild the jawbone structure or skin grafts are required to cover the jawbone, you can add thousands to that. Most people who have worn dentures for a long time(decades)have jawbone deterioration. $5000 is the average cost. Maybe $3000 with no complications. The quality of the actual implants also varies. You get what you pay for.
