Why not? Anyone here with a restaurant, or colmado, etc. should be able to answer.

They could not tell you how much profit Cervecería Nacional Dominicana makes when they sell Presidente, if that is the OP's question. I doubt anyone will know this information outside of the accountants at the company.

Finding out the wholesale price to a bar is easy. Just ask Frank12.

I think his question is what cerveceria nacional makes on it, unless they is the owner of a colmado.

Ah, I thought he meant how much does the person selling it to him make...... If he meant Cerveceria National Dominicana, that's another story.

From what I know, my brother-in-law marks up everything 20% in his colmado so maybe we can assume 20% profit at the very least.

Sorry but your bil has to sell at the price that's on the crown on the bottle, there is no own marking up. I never buy Presidente (even worse than Heineken) but we DO buy Bohemia, at the almacen of course, not at the supermarket, in GH. 24 x 650 Ml. at 1500 pesos. So do the math.

THe bottling company makes a profit, the company that hauls it to the distributor makes a profit, the distributor makes a profit and the restaurant or bar owner that buys from him makes a profit. I bought it by the case , don't remember what I paid, but sold it 5 years ago for 100 pesos per bottle and I averaged 16 bottles per day in sales and figured I made about $10.00 USD in profit on the beer sales alone.

Colmado are making an average of 20% . The most costly thing about beer is advertising and distributing . The beer ( liquid ) by itself is 10% of the cost cereal and water plus hops. Ambev ( Belgium ) runs the business with no competition !
