necessity is the mother of invention

so we bought this fancy shmancy kitchen range. sadly, due to power fluctuations something inside it died and the oven is temporarily out of order. while we are waiting for the part to ship my sugar addiction is getting the better of me. after making an icebox cake i decided to tackle the ovenless baking.

here is my first try, orange and poppy seed pound cake:



end result, slightly burnt in the bottom but otherwise perfectly yummy:
