Question about receiving a mailed package

I know, I know, don't expect a package to actually arrive via non-couriered mail.

But, we did what I always recommend others don't do: we used regular old
Canada Post to mail a package to my father-in-law in Gaspar Hernandez.
Tracking shows it arriving in the country and ready for pick up. But we don't
know WHERE to pick it up. Last update said DOSDQA.

Yes, of course, we have sent an inquiry to Canada Post. But the last time this
same thing happened (unbeknownst to me or I wouldn't have tried a 2nd time)
Canada Post returned the package to us in Canada instead of attempting delivery
there.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks Matilda! Our package has been located in Puerto Plata. Now, of course, they want my 85 year old father in law to go all the way to Puerto Plata with cedula in hand. Sigh. I should have just waited until October when we go! Appreciate the help !

We receive regular mail as wel thrue the GH post-office with just my name and the name of our house. Once they know you they will do everything to get your mail at your home.
You could telephone them and ask a second delivery.
