There is currently a significant increase in seismic activity occurring in the ocean NNE of Punta Cana. Nothing to worry about specifically but something worth noting. The largest a 4.2 several hours ago.

Nothing of significance to report over the last several days, some low magnitude rumblings (3.0 - 3.3) N and NE of the eastern portion of the DR over the last 24 hours. A very active seismic area.

It bears repeating, if any of these were of sufficient type and strength to produce Tsumani waves those originating the furthest way would reach the DR in a bout 60 minutes and the closest in as little as 15 minutes after the event. N, NE, E, SE coasts would see the brunt of the waves and SW coast to a lessor extent.

Thought about how you would get up and away from the coast on short notice if need be?
